We utilize the outside play areas as much as we can. The outside time depends on your dog's needs. Puppies have different needs than a senior dog. It's also breed related. If the weather permits and your dog is up for it, he/she can stay outside most of the day. A tired dog is a content dog.
No. Your dog must have been socialized prior to his/her stay if you want him to have play dates. We do what we can to prevent dog fights including temperament test prior to all group play.
We don't have breed restrictions, but we have behavior restrictions. We don't accept any dog or people aggressive dogs, no matter the breed.

Your pup must be at least 4 months, because he/she needs to be fully vaccinated including , Rabies, Bordetella and 3 rounds of DHPP.
How ever many times he/she is fed at home. We try to follow the schedule the dog is accustomed to as long as it's during reasonable times.
Yes, you can, but all items need to be marked with the dog's name. We are NOT responsible for any lost, chewed, soiled or items left behind! Sometimes dogs will behave differently in a kennel environment verses at home. An alternative option is to use our bedding and we offer permissible treats/chews at a minimal cost which supports our pet rescue. Your belongings will be considered abandoned after 30 days.
We usually notice pretty quickly after meeting a dog if there will be a problem. On rare occasions, a dog can turn aggressive after the owner leaves. In those cases, we have to use additional staff as well as caution to prevent getting bitten and injured. We do charge a $15 handling fee on top of our regular boarding rate for this service. If you don't know how your dog will act while boarding, you might want to bring her for doggy day care prior to your departure. Please note this is very rare and doesn't happen very often.

There are two options: We can give your dog an anxiety treatment to take the edge off if he/she needs it. First we try other methods, like playing, and exercise. We are able to offer this service thanks to one of the owners being a veterinarian. Second option is our VIP Boarding which is in a home environment instead of the kennel.
Yes, we are open 365 days of the year for boarding, but we are closed for drop off/pick up on the following days: 4th of July, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Yes, all dogs must wear a collar with a name tag. It must be securely fitted by the owner. It has to be tight enough to prevent your dog from escaping. A harness is ok, as long as your dog can't chew or get out of it.
Yes, we prefer a hard shelled carrier verses a collapsible. We're happy to lend you one of ours, if you don't have one. The carrier can provide a sense of security, for the cats that might experience anxiety, from being away from home.
